Jason Alexander teaches Larry David how to play George
Просмотров 6 млн11 лет назад
In the Curb Your Enthusiasm Seinfeld "reunion", Larry David attempts to channel George Constanza, his own alter-ego
Jason is an actors actor, and he puts Larry into it seeing him do it. He's showing how EXPRESSION, timing and character make the character. He was ready to walk because they weren't going to put him in a few episodes, and he said I'm an actor and this our show, if you don't want me, I'll go and do something else. And they knew he was absolutely essential to the show and that losing him would ruin everything. Without him and Michael Richards, there is no show. Just a series of boring people doing boring things.
the behind the scenes of curb&seinfeld should be taken great care of
Worlds are colliding!
All I can think of is Steinbrenner
The funny one in this show was George, not Genocide Jerry. The show would not have lasted long without George.
I have always loved Larry David (Curb), but for years i never understood why George was so popular. Until i really started watching Seinfeld. Now George is probably my favorite TV character of all times.
Classic 😊
Larry David simply isn't stocky enough to play George. That's the problem.
All those guys holding their cameras up, like they never heard of a tripod.
George was one of the best sitcom characters of all time...Jason should have received an Emmy for his portrayal of George....it was brilliant.
Larry as an actor is doing a very fine job imitating George's words, but he's not getting the same feelings the same as Jason Alexander. Being a great actor is hard work; Emmy win for Jason Alexander. James 1:17,
Seeing George next to actual normal humans in reality highlights how hilarious he is. Ho _HOOOOH!_
All I hear is Steinbrenner
Hey - if Kramer can't be Kramer...then Larry can't be George!
Larry David wrote a scene where he plays Larry David trying to play the character based on Larry David
The George Character played by Jason Alexander is the only reason I watch Seinfeld. He cracks me up constantly.
At risk of saying something controversial - George, Kramer, and Elaine CARRIED that show.
George Costanza, as played by Jason Alexander, is the greatest comedic character in television history.
How did Jerry get that new fridge up to his apartment???
It wasn't a show about nothing. It was a show about George Constanza.
I love all four of the actors, and I love Larry David, but Jason Alexander is THE most talented actor in that cast.
Jason is underrated man that was good
No way Larry can do George.. Jason is one of a kind.
Art imitates life... life can't imitate art
Jason Alexander is Acting without Acting.
Having said that…
My sister always said that little guys with big explosive egos had "little guy syndrome"; which is of course unfair and "size-ist", if you could coin such a word, but in many cases, absolutely true. No snub meant to Jason Alexander though; an absolute prince of a man.
Jason´s George is neurotic and frustrated, Larry´s George is angrier and mean, funny in their own ways
Costanza was my favorite character. Then Kramer and Newman
I could watch 10 seasons of Jason making Jerry laugh
Always appreciated Jason Alexander, but seeing Larry David totally fail to do George proves it. Jason brought so much, maybe most, of what was great about George. (Larry is great in curb, but not best TV comedy of all time great, like Jason ). And yes, Larry gets all the credit in the world for Seinfeld.
For me George was the most inmportant actor in Seinfeld.
There’s no audience
So let me get this straight, we're watching a doc about an episode of curb which is about an episode of seinfeld where jason alexander is instructing larry david how to play george when george is based on larry david in the context of an episode where larry is mad at jason and has to pretend that he knows how to play george better than jason but the doc reveals that jason is coaching him for the filming of the curb show which contains an episode of seinfeld in it
Recursive self-referentialism.
This is the bizarro world
Larry playing Larry playing George play Larry
How much prison time did they do? And he still paid his rent, and or had an aprmt sitter during that period?
They were sentenced to a year.
Shows how great both of them are. Larry wrote a fantastic character; Jason made it his own.
Larry has the best Steinbrenner's impression though. The best, Jerry, the best!
Jason made it his own creation.
I'm Telling You.. Jason Alexander was Absolutely Clutch as George.... Totally Underrated Actor.
This is such a genius show. Thank you ☺️
George is Larry if he had like twice the energy.
GEORGE made Seinfeld
I never understood the fascination of Kramer, George has always been my absolute favorite caracter and let’s face it, he is by far the funniest (and most relatable, whatever that says about me 😂) !
that madoff scream was way better than the take they used in curb. I'ts like Franks scream when he falls being better in the outtake
No offense to Larry David, but ONLY Jason Alexander can be George Constanza. Larry may be the inspiration for George, but Jason IS George!!
George was such a great character 🤩
Acting without acting
I only see bernie sanders :)
